The Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated 11 flyovers for the Delhi-Panipat stretch of NH-44 to ease travelling from Delhi to Chandigarh and beyond
The main carriageway, the majority of the service lane-related work and the eight-lane corridor have been completed and will reduce travel time by an hour for straight-going traffic. Moreover, the remaining will be over in the next month. Earlier, the work on the stretch was stalled due to farmer agitation
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has widened the two-lane service roads on each side to three lanes. The 14-lane road traffic heading towards Chandigarh will now assist commuters and ease local traffic
it would take nearly two-and-a-half hours from Mukarba Chowk to Sonipat, and now this can be covered in one-and-a-half hours
